The Declaration of value is an Academic recognition.
The Declaration of value is issued by the Italian Consulate in 8 (eight) days from the documentation submission date to the Consular Department.
The declaration of value may be issued to an authorized person by the holder and is required to obtaining:
– academic recognition of the diploma (is prerequisite for further study in Italy through enrollment in higher education for those that have obtained the declaration of value, but to validate studies in Italy they to have to go through the next stage and follow the steps provided in this respect by the Italian authorities and legislation)
– professional recognition (recognizes and demonstrates the level of training in the field but does not provide an automatic right to profess in Italy)
The declaration of value can be obtained upon request for:
– Undergraduate study documents: diploma / 8 classes certificate, 10 classes diploma, high school diploma
– University and post-university study documents: bachelor, master and doctoral diplomas
a) in original:
– diploma / graduation certificate
– diploma / certificate corresponding transcript
– certificates of authenticity for each documents
– simple delegation (not notarized) in case you have Italian IDs
b) simple photocopy:
– Romanian and Italian ID copies
– copy of birth certificate, marriage, divorce, death, to demonstrate the change of name (if applicable)
Formalities which may be performed by our office for you:
1. Your representation at all competent institutions and authorities
2. Certification of study documents to the issuing county inspectorate (for Undergraduate study documents) or to the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (NCRED) (for university and post-university study documents)
3. Certification of original study documents
4. Notarization and legalization of original study documents certified copies
5. Translations into Italian: authorized, authenticated and legalized of the study documents
6. Simple photocopies of all original study documents or prepared in our office.
1. Certificates of authenticity can be obtained from the secretary of the diplomas issuing school. You need to ask for 2 copies of each act: one copy will be submitted to the County School Inspectorate for certification of the original act, and another copy will included into the file for the Italian Consulate.
2. If it is more convenient for you, we can represent you to the schools in Bucharest and in the country, for the certificates of authenticity issuance required to complete your application for obtaining the Declaration of value.
Consular Department where the file must be submitted:
a) If you reside in one of the counties below, the file for Declaration of value issuance will be submitted to the Consular Department of the Italian Embassy in Bucharest:
Arges, Bacau, Botosani, Braila, Brasov, Bucharest, Buzau, Calarasi, Constanta, Covasna, Dambovita, Dolj, Galati, Harghita, Ialomita, Iasi, Ilfov, Mehedinti, Neamt, Olt, Prahova, Suceava, Teleorman, Tulcea, Valcea, Vaslui, Vrancea.
b) If you reside in one of the counties below, the file for Declaration of value issuance will be submitted to the Consular Department of the Italian Embassy in Timisoara:
Alba, Arad, Bihor, Bistrita, Caras Severin, Cluj, Hunedoara, Salaj, Satu-Mare, Sibiu, Maramures, Mures, Timis.
Appointment services and representation to the Italian Consulate:
a) 50% discount of the tariff for appointment, file submission and Declaration of value pick up services (thus representation to the competent authority) from the Italian Consulate, for clients using our services to complete their file
b) 400 Ron for clients having already prepared the file, and that contract us for appointment, file submission and Declaration of value pick up services (thus representation)
* In the point b) price are included:
– file verification services of documents included and compliance with the Consulate of Italy requirements
– translation verification services in accordance with the original
– representation services in the consulate: appointment, submission and pick up of the Declaration of value.
IMPORTANT: IN ORDER TO OFFER YOU QUALITY FILE PREPARATION AND TRANSLATIONS SERVICES, WE ADVISE YOU NOT TO PREPARE, WITHOUT GUIDANCE, PARTS OF YOUR FILE, BEFORE ENTRUSTING IT TO OUR SERVICES. THIS WAY WE CAN SAVE YOU FURTHER COSTS OFTEN REQUIRED FOR VARIOUS ERRORS CORRECTIONS THAT WE COULD FIND IN THE FILE.
Necessary period to complete our services:
Variances between different processing times of a file is determined by:
– Features of your file
– Location of issuing schools of study documents where we must represent you
– Part of year when you request the document (summer vacations and holidays objectively prolong the completion time of the required steps and therefore our services to you, because of temporary staff absence from institutions where we have to represent you).
– From our experience, the time can vary between 8 days (for submitting already prepared files) and 1 month. In special circumstances, the period may be extended due to objective reasons, not related to our office. In exceptional circumstances, the time for obtaining the Declaration of value can be shorter. In this case our company will charge personalized emergency fees that can sustain the increased rates of file preparation services in our office (translations) or in other institutions (urgent certifications, etc.).

level of education for which the Declaration of value is obtained (for obtaining Bachelor Declaration of value, for example, is NOT mandatory to obtain high school Declaration of value BUT it is necessary to prepare the entire file for the latter, in same way as for the Bachelor diploma). Depending on the complexity of the file, payment can be made in the following ways:
1. Two-stage (for complex files):
a) 50% at contract signing
b) 50% at completion of services contracted (after proof that we obtained Declaration of value)
2. In a single step (for simple cases), upon completion of the services contracted
3. Customized, depending on the file situation and upon your agreement.
Payment of our services can be done upon fiscal documents issued by our company, in cash at our office or by bank transfer.
